Another mobile phone manufacturer has now jumped on the 'mini' bandwagon, LG have now released their new LG GD880 Mini which is officially the smallest handset available with a 3.2 inch touch screen. The LG Mini phone is one of the most compact handsets on the market, it achieves this by slimming down the size of the bezel around the outside of the main touch screen, you will find that most phone models have a larger bezel to protect the screen when the phone is dropped but LG have reinforced this area which has allowed them to miniaturise the overall dimensions of the device making for an extremely pocket friendly handset.
The LG GD880 Mini offers 3.5G connectivity for internet browsing and email retrieval and a 5.0 mega pixel camera situated on the reverse of the phone which is the only thing present on the back housing which makes for a very minimalistic design in tandem with the front of the handset which does not even have any buttons!Users can download at speeds of up to 7.2mbps thanks to HSDPA support, there is also WIFi for wireless internet connections, GPS for route finding and navigation, a comprehensive multimedia player, Bluetooth, FM radio and expandable memory for storing those pictures, music tracks, applications and files. The new LG Mini also offers social networking integration with support for most major websites including Twitter and Facebook.
The new arena of 'mini' mobile phones is constantly expanding as manufacturers jump on this new trend, competitors include the Nokia N97 mini which was the first to coin this new name whilst others include the new HTC HD mini, Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini and sister phone; Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro.There seems to be a real demand for these smaller smart phones and no doubt other manufacturers such as Samsung and Motorola mill soon follow suit with their own models. There is now an abundance of handsets featuring similar specifications to the new LG GD880 Mini with the Nokia X6, Sony Ericsson Vivaz, HTC Legend and Motorola Milestone all offering a 3.2 inch touch screen and 5.0 mega pixel camera although the Sony Vivaz is the exception offering a higher resolution 8 mega pixel lens. The LG Mini is expected to be released as a pay monthly contract phone by multiple netyworks over the next few weeks as well as being made available as a Pay As You Go phone.More informations:beverage fridge Suppliers
